The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development organisation, advocating for change and connecting the Pacific to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life since the 1970s. They are on the ground in 10 Pacific Island countries, working with governments and people on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. UNDP in Solomon Islands focuses on projects in a range of areas, including the provincial governance strengthening, aid coordination and management, UN Pacific Regional Anti-Corruption Project, Human Security Initiative for Tensions reduction, reconciliation and rehabilitation, and peacebuilding.
