Congress will be held at the Royal Society of New Zealand, 11 Turnbull St, Wellington City (click here for a map), from 8am until 5pm.

The Congress Dinner will be at Dockside, Shed 3, Queens Wharf, 6.30pm-10.30pm.

This year’s theme is “Innovation in Development”. This is an exciting time for VSA as part of the international development community, given the Sustainable Development Goals, VSA’s new Strategic Intent for 2015-2019, and our new contract with MFAT beginning in October 2015. We invite you to hear how returned volunteers, staff and our partners have used innovative ways to do their work, and to share your ideas on innovation. A full schedule of speakers will be advised in September.

The day programme for Congress includes the AGM for VSA members, and concludes with a VSAConnect reception. Dinner follows in the evening, at Dockside, and guests will be able to view the annual Wellington fireworks display over the harbour.

The annual Branches meeting for Branch Delegates and District Contacts will take place at the VSA Office on Sunday 8 November, 9.00am to 11.30am.

Cost

Congress: $45pp

Dinner: $45pp

Costs of travel, accommodation and Congress for our nominated guests (Returned Volunteers and accompanying partners from the past year, Branch delegates and district contacts and VSA Council members) will be met by VSA.
