Project Friendship Week started with a bang, with Dress up for Change participants interviewed for the TV One Breakfast programme.
Project Friendship Dress up for Change went live on the Breakfast Show roundup on Monday 12th August, TV1. Braving the rain and wearing their Dress up for Change costumes, students from both Brooklyn and Thorndon primary schools and the Karori Rangers discussed Project Friendship with reporter Jess McCarthy. Watch the rough footage:
Project Friendship is VSA’s biggest annual fundraising campaign aimed specifically at youth. This year 80 Schools from Invercargill to Kerikeri participated in Project Friendship, along with Girl Guiding New Zealand, 90 Four Square stores and 27 Body Shops. The Victoria University Leadership Programme again supported VSA Project Friendship with student volunteers collating and posting over 20,000 friendship bracelets across the country.
Project Friendship Dress up for Change was also on the opening segment of the Erin Simpson Show which aired on Thursday August 15th on TV3.
