Senior Marketing Adviser, Solomon Islands (3044)

Closing Date: 28 May 2012

Interview: June 22nd and 23rd (Applicants will be required for both days)

Pre-departure Briefing: September 26th to 29th

Expected in Field: October 2012

Position Term: 2 years

Provide support and advice to the growing marketing team at a Solomon Islands fisheries plant.

We are recruiting for an experienced marketing professional who is able to work alongside Soltai staff to develop a domestic strategy, and provide support to the marketing team throughout its implementation.

Soltai Fishing and Processing Ltd is a tuna processing plant located in Noro, in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands.  Due to a significant increase in production forecast for this year, Soltai management intends to devote more effort to domestic marketing.  An experienced Marketing Manager was recruited in early 2011, however, he and the fledgling marketing team would benefit from the mentoring and support of a highly experienced Marketing Adviser volunteer.

This is a two year assignment based in the capital Honiara, with regular travel to Noro.  Accommodation will be provided by Soltai.
