Management Adviser, Bougainville (3046)

Position Term: 2 years

Advise on management practises to ensure the Division of Local Level Government (LLG) has appropriate staffing, systems and policies in place to meet its organisational goals.

The Bougainville Administration is currently under pressure to show it can cope satisfactorily with the demands of full autonomy. Competency must be demonstrated prior to the referendum for independence, scheduled to take place between 2015 and 2020. There is an urgent call from political leaders for the public service to become more effective and respond progressively to the challenge.

It is hoped this VSA assignment will contribute significantly to assisting the division to rise to the occasion by strengthening management, administration and operational systems. VSA is seeking a volunteer who is able to provide a critical and objective analysis of the structure and business of the Division of LLG, followed by guidance towards excellent delivery of services to the government and people of Bougainville.

This is a two year assignment and accommodation in Buka will be provided.
