Project Friendship

Each August people across New Zealand buy colourful hand-woven friendship bracelets to support the work of VSA volunteers in developing countries. In 2013 Project Friendship will take place from 12-18 August.

Project Friendship is VSA’s biggest annual fundraiser and the only one that focuses specifically on youth. 12-18 August is Project Friendship week and schools, The Body Shop, Four Square and Girl Guides around New Zealand will be showing their support by selling and wearing our colourful $3 friendship bracelets. This year as well as purchasing our bracelets you can also Dress Up for Change!

Dress Up For Change

Dress Up for Change is a fun new addition to VSA’s Project Friendship. We’re still selling our popular, hand-woven friendship bracelets, but this year we’re also inviting you to dress up in your favourite costume and raise money to help change the lives of young people in the Pacific.

Spend a day during Project Friendship Week in costume. You could dress up individually or how about dressing up with your classmates as a team? Whatever you decide, we suggest you charge $2 for everyone who takes part.

All the money you raise will be used to support the work of VSA volunteers working with young people in the Pacific.

Registration

Use the form at the bottom of this page to register for Project Friendship 2013 or email info@vsa.org.nz with the subject line "Project Friendship".

Our bloggers

Each year some of our super cool VSA volunteers write blogs about what they're doing on assignment (and some of what they do on the weekends, including everything from hip-hop dance-offs to diving with turtles). Watch this space to see who'll be telling you all about how they're working with young people around the Pacific and Timor-Leste.
