This assignment is based within the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Management at the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA). The Faculty's role is to educate students in the design and use of appropriate agricultural technology in rural Cambodia and to enable graduates to provide agricultural extension support to rural farmers who are starting to use machinery in their farming activities.
The Faculty is looking for an experienced mechanic to assist staff and students to improve their practical use, repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery and equipment. The Faculty is also looking to the volunteer to introduce creative, low cost ideas and designs for agricultural machinery for appropriate and practical use in rural Cambodia.
This is a two-year assignment and basic, furnished accommodation is provided by VSA.
