1640 - Telephone Counselling Team Adviser, Cambodia

Strengthen Child Helpline Cambodia’s capacity to establish and provide a national Child Helpline service.

Child Helpline Cambodia (CHC) was established in 2007 by a coalition of some 30 Cambodian organisations that work with victims of abuse or those at risk of being abused or exploited, and Child Helpline International. It has the vision of "providing a national, professional phone-counselling and information service and effective referral and follow-up system to promote active participation by children, communities, NGOs and Government to protect and empower children in Cambodia."

CHC is looking for an experienced Counsellor trainer to provide professional and appropriate counselling, and establish an information and referral service for child and youth callers to the Helpline, and to develop effective partnerships with child and youth based institutions in Cambodia. This is a two-year assignment and basic furnished accommodation is provided by VSA.
