1359 - Practical Short-Course Coordinator, Bougainville

The Tinputz Specialised Training Centre is situated on Buka Island and operates under the Division of Education, which has its Vocational Education Office and Coordinator based in Buka. Short Courses have been offered at Tinputz STC in the past but staff found it difficult to operate the courses in conjunction with the longer two-year courses being offered. Short Courses are seen as an important contribution towards filling the gap in education that the region experienced during the crisis and the need to provide training opportunities that reflect the needs of the community in both content and resources.
The Tinputz STC is looking for an experienced Practical Short Course Manager who can enable the centre and its staff to implement and deliver practical short courses that are appropriate to the local community's needs and interests. This is a two-year assignment and basic furnished accommodation will be provided.
