The Division of Commerce is one division of the controlling administrative body for Bougainville, the Department of Bougainville. The department is comprised of a number of Divisions - Commerce, Finance, Health, Primary Industries, District Services, Education, Works and Planning. Functions of the department include policy development and planning, project development, implementation and monitoring, and organisational development.
The Division of Commerce in Buka is looking for a Business Advisor (Small Business) to help establish a Business Advisory Service and to mentor local staff in the operation of the service and ensure its sustainability. This is a two-year assignment and basic furnished accommodation is provided by the partner organisation.
