What We Do
VSA recruits and sends skilled New Zealanders to work as
volunteers with communities in Africa, Asia, and the Pacific. Our
volunteers work with local communities to help them achieve their own
goals and solutions by sharing skills, energy, and experience. It is
our partner organisations in developing
countries who decide what they need, and we work with those
organisations to
design effective assignments. VSA sends
people, not money, which is a form of development assistance that has proven to be highly successful in helping communities.
